There are many ways to earn highest rank. You may choose to purely go after the points, but I encourage you to explore the options as there are a lot of achievements and tidbits in the game, plus it’s more fun to read.

For this book I played the separate app. If you are in the library and you don't get some of the achievements, that's okay. Just check the achievement list.

Battle those climbing the barricades (Morale +1) (Path A.1)
Help Caroline contain the threat from behind (Morale +2) (Path A.2)

Choice 2 Path A.1
Switch from your spear to your sword (Life -3, Morale +2) (Life -1)
Continue to attack with your spear (Life -100) (You have died.)

Knock him out of the formation to make way for another (Life -3, Morale +1) (Life -1)
